Lula's articles

66 articles signed by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in newspapers and magazines around the world, from 2003 to 2026. Each entry gives the outlet, the date, the link and what proves the publication. The texts stay on the newspapers' websites: nothing is reproduced in full here.

How to read the evidence

Publication identified
There is a page for the article or a clear reference. It may be the original, a republication or an institutional record: the note says which.
Confirmed in an index
The outlet's author page or archive index lists the article; the individual link may be missing.
Official catalog
The Brazilian Presidency lists the article and the outlets; not every newspaper copy was checked.
Official record and press
An official record and a news report from another outlet; the original was not opened.
Secondary reference
Another source reports the publication; the original has not been located yet.

None of these labels means "read in full". Translations and republications of the same text are grouped in editorial families: nine newspapers carrying the same article are not nine articles. Notes are translated from the Portuguese edition.

Limits of this catalog

  • It includes signed articles, author contributions, profiles written by Lula and co-signed letters. News reports about him and interviews are left out.
  • The survey mostly covers 2003 to 2026 and has not exhausted the world press or the Brazilian press.
  • The New York Times Syndicate is not The New York Times: the 2013 distribution contract did not guarantee publication in the newspaper.
  • No article by Lula in The Economist was confirmed: the July 2025 letter was signed by Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira.
  • Links to major newspapers may require a subscription. The catalog does not bypass paywalls, logins or blocks.
